Frank was bred and raised by our family and started in our training program as a two-year-old, then went on to be Winston’s brother’s personal trail horse for the past three years. From day one, he’s had solid ground manners and a naturally gentle disposition. He’s the first to meet you at the gate, easy to catch, and always curious and willing to learn. Frank has been ridden by children of all ages and has traveled all over the country, from trail riding to bird hunting, taking every new experience in stride. Point him in any direction, and he’ll go. He’s careful, steady, and sure-footed, taking his time through rough terrain with quiet confidence. On the ground and in the saddle, Frank is as kind and easy as they come. He’s quiet, patient, and respectful, making him a true pleasure to handle. He’s a gentleman for grooming, saddling, and bridling, and he carries that same easygoing nature into his riding. Frank has a naturally smooth gait that takes little to no effort to enjoy, along with a relaxed, comfortable trail walk. He lopes both leads, neck reins, backs easily, and responds well to leg cues. He knows how to side pass and will step over to a mounting block or fence with ease, always standing quietly for you to get on. He’s dependable, always the same horse every time you ride him, even with time off. He’s happy to go to work without hesitation. Out on the trail or around the farm, Frank is seasoned and reliable. He’ll drag anything you dally to the saddle horn, carry a flag, and is comfortable around traffic and farm machinery. He’s unfazed by bicycles, the popping of a bullwhip, and stands rock solid and steady with gunfire, making him a solid choice for a variety of jobs. He’s trusting, willing, and truly wants to please his rider. Built stout with good bone, he’s gentle and steady enough for riders of all ages and experience levels, from kids to adults.
