GORGEOUS, SHAPEY, COWY, FUN and GENTLE, GENTLE, GENTLE! We call her “Louise,” and she is looking for her cowgirl or cowboy! She is a 7-year-old mare that is suitable for just about anyone! Louise has spent her entire life as a trail horse and cow horse. We have owned her for over a year and purchased her directly from her breeder, who raised and used her daily on a huge feedlot in Nebraska. We have trail-ridden her all over the country. She has seen elevations in excess of 12,000 feet along the Continental Divide in Wyoming and Colorado, along with tons of miles in GA and FL, gathering cattle and trail riding. We have used her daily to doctor cattle in our preconditioning facility. She has been ridden by all level riders, from children to super punchers, and everyone LOVES her! Louise has the sweetest easy-going temperament, easy to catch anywhere, quiet in the barn, and good out in the pasture with other horses. She is SUPER safe and gentle. Louise knows how to put in a hard day’s work – averaging 20 miles a day on the trail at high elevations. She is an experienced trail horse! She is very sure-footed, takes her time through rough terrain, bogs, crosses water, logs, and bridges. Louise does not get worked up when in a tight spot either. She is very levelheaded and does not get hot. She is good at riding in large groups or out by herself. We have used Louise as a lessons horse for young riders ages 5+ You can take one look at her pedigree, and you’ll see why she is extremely cowy and a great athlete! She is good with ropes, gunfire, bullwhips, and dogs. She has a nice soft trot, one hand neck rein, lopes both leads, hobbles, and ground ties. She is good to ranch rope and sort on. She would also excel in ranch versatility, team penning, ranch sorting, or any cow horse discipline. We have roped the hot heels on her, as well. SHE IS SUPER COWY! Louise is a super sweet and affectionate mare who will nicker to you every time you walk in the barn. She is a proven ranch and trail horse!
