W2 Horses is proud to offer Cruz Bay, affectionately known as Cruz a 6-year-old registered Tennessee Walking Horse gelding standing 15.2 hands tall and wrapped in a rich, striking bay coat that naturally draws attention. With excellent conformation, good strong feet, and an unmistakable presence, he catches the eye wherever he goes. Yet as beautiful as he is, it is his kind disposition and genuine love of people that truly set him apart. Cruz is exceptionally sweet, personable, and people-oriented. He meets you at the gate, stands quietly to be groomed and loved on, and makes every interaction feel easy and enjoyable. Gentle by nature and willing in his mindset, he consistently tries to do right for his rider. He is not easily shaken and takes new situations in stride, carrying himself with confidence both in the barn and beyond. Easy to catch and simple to handle, he stands like a gentleman for the farrier, is great to bathe, uncomplicated to tack up, and loads and unloads quietly. He travels calmly and confidently, whether headed across town or across state lines, stepping off the trailer the same settled, dependable horse he was at home. Cruz is a trail horse with real miles and real experience. He has been ridden through multiple states and state parks, covering diverse terrain from rocky ground and thick brush to steep paths and rough country. He thoughtfully navigates logs, ditches, water crossings, and bridges with careful consideration. He does not rush obstacles or hesitate; he studies what is in front of him and steps through it with assurance. Whether riding out alone or in a group, he remains confident and steady. His sweet mind is one of his greatest strengths. Cruz is naturally gentle and willing without being dull. He walks with purpose, carries himself with presence, and offers forward movement while remaining controlled. He matches his rider’s energy, content on an afternoon ride or covering ground with intention, Cruz is always ready to move on down the trail. Under saddle, Cruz is enjoyable to ride, and his smooth gait is complemented by a beautiful way of going and a natural headset. He neck reins, stops and backs up willingly. He will park out or side pass to a mounting block, fence, or trailer for easy mounting. He is broke to hobble and stands patiently wherever you put him. He has no vices and no bad habits. On the trail, he remains composed in traffic and is comfortable around dogs, wildlife, unexpected movement, loud noises, and commotion. He is steady around gunfire and cracking bullwhips. Cruz even has some field experience bird hunting, with a forward mind, making him an especially promising bird-dog hunting prospect who genuinely enjoys the work. Beyond trail riding, Cruz has some practical ranch experience. He has been used to check cattle, will drag logs or anything asked of him, and approaches tasks with a thoughtful, working mindset. New challenges are met with steadiness and willingness rather than resistance. At six years old, Cruz is in his prime, seasoned and confident with solid exposure, yet young enough to have many strong years ahead. There is no silly business with Cruz, he is smooth and honest every ride. Cruz makes every trip to the barn and every ride enjoyable. He combines experience, training, exposure, ability, and a genuinely kind heart into one dependable, attractive package. Whether you are looking for a trail partner, a capable hunting prospect, or simply a steady horse to enjoy miles with, Cruz is the type that will take you anywhere.
