Talk about Gorgeous! Max is a 6 year old registered Gypsy Vanner gelding standing 14.3 hands with the biggest heart and sweetest personality you will find! Max has an exceptional pedigree with foundation Gypsy bloodlines including one of the leading sires, Bob The Blagdon. Max has been a loving member of our family for two years now. Max is not only a barn favorite, but he has been my go-to ride and an incredible companion. He is never anything less than perfect! He is one of the smartest and most willing horses we have owned and he is a true gentlemen. Max is an honest, solid, experienced trail and ranch horse. Max has been trail ridden all over the country from the Rocky Mountains in Colorado to Tennessee, the piney woods of South Georgia, all the way to the beaches of Florida. He is the most solid trail horse you could ask for and is safe for any level rider. Max is good with cattle and works a rope well. He can rope both ends, drags good and pulls strong from the horn. We have used Max as a turnback horse and he will look at a cow. We have even caught Max sorting the roping steers in the pasture on his own. He has been used to gather and work cross breed cattle and drive yearlings. You can catch Max on the coldest of mornings, saddle him up and ride right off to work cattle or go down the trail without issue. Max has a fancy way of going with a nice soft trot and smooth lope. He lopes both leads on cue, responds to leg pressure, side passes, and is super soft with tons of feel. Max will go anywhere and through anything you ask. He is sure footed, patient and will carefully ease through the roughest of country without hesitation. He takes his time and never gets in a hurry or panics when in a tight spot. Max can pack all your gear for you up the mountain and is stout and steady enough to ride all day in high country. He is good with water, bridges, gunfire, crazy dogs, flags, bullwhips, traffic, wagons and ponying other horses. Max has spent many days with children of all ages giving pony rides, letting them paint him from head to toe, competing in relay games and being the center of attention at our pony parties. Max has that loving demeanor that is true to the Gypsy breed. He begs for your attention and not only loves his treats, he loves his tricks, too! He side passes over to the mounting block for easy mounting and dismounting. He lays down on command and will also sit like a dog. He is so gentle, he will even let the dogs crawl all over him.
💗Max has impeccable ground manners and respects your space. He is quiet in the stall and is easy to catch anywhere, even in the dark in strange places. He will stand tied patiently for hours on end. He is broke to hobbles. He stands without being tied for saddling and takes to the bridle gently. Max is quiet and trustworthy to be ridden out by himself or with a large group of horses. Max has no spook and no bad habits. He loads and backs out of the trailer easily, stands for the farrier quietly as well as bathing and clipping. Max has great feet with absolutely no health issues. Max is also PSSM1 Negative!
💗Max’s potential is absolutely endless. He has the foundation and experience to go in any direction you may desire. He would make a beautiful show horse, dressage, mounted shooting or trail competition. Max is absolutely beautiful in English tack. He has been started in eventing and has taken to it very well. He also has become proficient in jumping and performs without hesitation. He has been hooked to the ground sled and lightly started driving. He is ready to drag calves to the fire or take you to the top of the mountain. Max is one of those horses you can truly trust to take care of you and your family. Max will give you his whole heart in everything he does. Max isn’t just another horse; he deserves tons of love and is that once in a lifetime companion you will spend years trying to find. We love him and know you will, too!
