$14,000
Sassy! Beautiful 8-year-old Welsh/Quarter cross, buckskin mare pony standing 13.1 hands with the talent, mind, and ability to do anything you want to do horseback! Sassy is a sweetheart, the total package, and is ready for the next chapter of her life.
Sassy is as versatile as they come. She has years of experience as a trail horse and has spent her time more recently learning how to jump, practicing cool tricks, and becoming proficient at ranch work. Sassy is ready to go in any direction and will do it with a willing heart. She is gentle, safe, solid, and trustworthy!
Sassy has been through our training program and is not your average pony. She is very soft in the face, responds to leg cues, can be ridden one-handed, side passes, and backs up easily. She has extensive training in flexing and picking up her shoulders. Sassy has a very fancy way of going with her soft trot and beautiful lope. She knows how to pick up both leads on cue and also has a nice slow turnaround. Sassy has spent much of her time doing ranch work and working cattle. We have roped off her and she is handy in the cow pen or pasture. Sassy not only has been ridden Western but she has also been ridden English. She is quickly learning how to jump and has been started on her lead changes. She has been doing very well and even landing her correct leads. She is brave and will jump when you ask her to. Sassy has jumped 2’3’’ and has the potential to go higher. Sassy also has a few tricks to add to her already impressive resume. She knows how to lay down on command, side pass over to the mounting block with the snap of your fingers for easy mounting, and will follow you around at liberty slowly. Sassy knows how to lunge on a loose line in both directions and will come when you call her with a simple “Sassy, come”. She can be ridden bareback with a halter and double. Sassy is gentle, gentle, gentle, and loves attention. She has been a part of countless pony parties with children running all around her, painting her from head to toe, balloons, loud noises and it does not phase her.
Sassy is easy to catch anywhere, gets along with other horses, and is quiet in the stall. She stands perfectly still for mounting and dismounting, saddling, grooming and bathing. She is quiet on the trail and will ride in the front or back. She crosses water, logs, and ditches. She is good with crazy dogs, loud gunfire, bullwhips, heavy machinery, and traffic.
Sassy is an amazing trail and ranch horse, but she would also be an excellent hunter jumper or eventer prospect. She can do it all – mounted shooting, trail obstacles, show, jumping, ranch work, tricks, pony parties, and so much more. Sassy is the perfect size that your child can ride and love for years to come. She is even a good size for a small adult to enjoy, too! Sassy is trained to teach your children how to become good horsemen. She is not your average pony, she is a great one! She will create good experiences for your children that will spark a love for horses to last a lifetime.
